Today was the international day of ending impunity for crimes against journalists. Female journalists in Somalia are being subjected to harassment while they are on duty.
SOMWA is lobbying to find all means to stop the crimes against female journalists and seek justice for their share in the media.
“What we need is a handful of support from the heads of the media outlets, ministries of information, labor and women affairs in the federal government.” Said Maryan Seylac in a press statement.
